MOSES HAPPY SO FAR
Chelsea's £ 9 million signing Victor Moses has said that he has been extremely pleased with the season so far. The midfielder arrived from Wigan in the summer, but he was not expected to be a first-team regular at the club almost immediately.
The sheer number of matches for Chelsea this season, though, has meant that Moses has been able to make 40 appearances in all competitions. He has also managed to score a healthy 10 goals in these matches. As a result, Moses has said that he is happy with the way his first season at Stamford Bridge has panned out.
The 22-year-old was one of the several signings to come at the club in the summer, but he was also one of the least noted due to his low transfer value. The Nigeria star not only has managed to establish himself in the Chelsea first-team, but he has also managed a trophy already this season. He won the African cup of nations with the Nigerian national team along with his Chelsea teammate John obi Mikel. Moses is in line for more trophies this season, as Chelsea could still win the Europa league. They will be playing in the final of the competition against Portuguese club Benfica.
"I wasn't expecting to play as many games as I have this season but I feel I've worked hard on the training ground and done well. Because of the amount of games we've played, especially having joined the Europa League as well, that's definitely helped me play more. At this stage of the season there's not any time to even think about tiredness; you just need to focus on getting yourself in the right shape for the next game. We want to be playing Champions League football next season," said Moses to the club's official site.
